BrooklynJS

BrooklynJS

I started building BrooklynJS as a small gathering of local JavaScripters, and grew it to become what Brooklyn Magazine called "the heart of the borough's tech scene". Aiming to be more than the usual pizza and beer meetup, we placed our focus on creating a fun, diverse, and inclusive environment. The event sells out quickly each month, attracting top speakers (like the inventor of JavaScript) and sponsors (like every big-name tech employer in the city), and has to date raised more than $75,000 to give kids in under-resourced schools access to technology careers.
