Have an opinion on color choice or the logotype? Feel free to let me know...

Thanks in advance, Jared

I love this, @Jared Schafer! Some thoughts:

Color: For the accent color, I like the yellow best. It feels most beer-ish, and complements the blue nicely.

    Logotype: I like numbers 2, 4, and 5.

For #2, I like how the word "Drinks" is integrated into the bolt. The only downside to me is that the bolt looks a little like a team pennant; like "Drinks" is the name of a college or something.

I tend to favor logos that fit nicely into a square, which is why I like #4. The second bolt avoids the pennant problem, and I think it's clearer what you're going for. On the other hand, the two bolts look a bit like hands holding the phrase "John Beer," so it might not be immediately obvious what's going on here.

Finally, #5 is simple and clear. I'm a sucker for a logotype that's all about the typography, and I think this works really well even without the bolt.

Okay, on second look, I think I really like #3 as well. It has the pros of #2, but without looking like a pennant. I like how it emphasizes the words "John" and "Beer," rather than "Drinks" (which is the main issue with #1 for me).

#6 feels unbalanced to me... the angle on the lower section of the bolt makes the right side feel lighter than the left, and draws the eye upwards in a way that isn't quite comfortable. I think most of the other logotypes avoid this, but I wonder if tweaking the angle on the logotype (or making the crossbar thicker) would fix this.

All in all, this is great work! Love the layout of this post, too — I'm working on adding some tools for doing stuff like this natively in Talentbase, a la Behance.

Wow @Jordan Koschei many thanks for the kind words and the feedback. I was actually contacted by the client (just after reading your comments) and they went with #5, but said a lot of the same things as you. I also thought many of the same things, but it goes a long way when you hear someone else say the same things you're thinking. I'll be posting new swag with the chosen direction here shortly. We also we went with your same beer color choice. It pairs nicely with the blues. Oh, and I can't wait for the addition of multiple slides. That being said, I like how the website handled this super long, vertical image. I thought for sure it would "skinny it up" but it didn't mess with the width which was awesome. Thanks again homey!
